72 hours in Singapore from SIN

Seventy-two hours lets you add a second pace without leaving the island. The third day is a gallery, a longer river walk, or one booked outing. It is not a ferry to another country.

The shape

Day one: Marina Bay and the hotel.

Day two: Chinatown, Kampong Glam, or Little India, and the food that belongs to that place.

Day three: the National Gallery or a return to the bay in better weather, then the airport. If the flight is early, do the ambitious day on day two and sleep at Changi.

Sentosa is a swap

The island is a half day before you have done anything on it, once you count the ride from the centre and the ride back toward Changi. Take it only by dropping the neighbourhood day.

A cable car and a beach photo are not a third day well spent if you have not yet sat down in the city.

Still one ticket

Gardens by the Bay is the ticket. The evening tour is the other, and only when the hours match an overnight connection. You do not need both.

Hawker food does not need a booking. A food tour is for when you want someone else to choose.

The border on the way out

Leaving is the same passport you entered on. Give the airport the three hours. Changi is efficient and it is still a large building with a departure immigration desk.
